What is CBN and how does it work?

CBN oil is one of the many cannabinoids that benefit our health. According to recent studies, it has been found that it may be more effective than CBD in some aspects. The popularity for hemp oil is gaining momentum through its amazing uses. CBN oil has a calming effect and promotes a good night's sleep without showing psychoactive effects. Unfortunately, there is not a lot of it in cannabis, so it is difficult to find it available in its pure form. There is only one per cent of it, but this depends on the intensity of the sunlight that reaches the plant. CBN has enormous medicinal potential.

What effects does CBN have?

CBN, like CBD for example, is a naturally occurring substance in the hemp plant. CBN oil, however, is not that popular. The same is true of the research carried out into it, which is constantly on-going and reveals new properties it may have. CBN oil already has all the properties possible for oils from the hemp plant. These certainly include taking care of circulation, normalising cholesterol and triglycerides, as well as having a beneficial effect on the skin both internally and externally. And although it is constantly being said that CBN is not as famous as other oils from the hemp plant that we have on the market, nevertheless, when new research related to it is known, interest in such products increases.

How should CBN oil be used?

Some may be surprised to learn that using CBN looks basically the same as CBD. For those who have not managed to use oils from the hemp plant so far, we have tips on how to do so, especially as it is quite easy.

To use CBN oil, follow these steps:

• place under the tongue, according to the description on the package, the amount of oil that has to be measured by using the pipette that comes with the bottle.
• In the next step, the CBN oil should be kept under the tongue for thirty minutes; it is not a swallowable product, it needs to be given some time to be absorbed from under the tongue, through the mucous membrane, straight into the bloodstream, so that it does not reach our digestive system.

However, it is worth remembering not to consume any liquids after applying CBN, even if you swallow it. It is best to apply the oil when you have previously eaten a meal about half an hour ago or are just before your next meal. This will not compromise absorption in the mouth.

Why take CBN oil in this way? Because it gives the best results. If it is taken as instructed, the active ingredients have no chance of entering the digestive system. This is extremely important, mainly in terms of people who have problems with absorption due to a disease of the digestive system. However, this does not mean that it is not also important with regard to people who are not affected by anything.

What is it with this psychoactivity of CBN?

CBN is created from the cannabis plant generally as a chemical compound derived from THC, which implies a thesis on the properties it possesses, completely altering mentality. The psychoactive effect of THC is the scientifically proven effect of altering a complex cognitive process, i.e. the operation of the senses and the perception of reality, which, willingly or unwillingly, has come to symbolise the consumption of cannabis.

In fact, for the last ten years, scientific research into the effects of CBN has been ongoing, with the belief that it has a psychotropic effect, due to the fact that it is derived from a compound that acts identically, but much less potently. In fact, however, it has emerged that the isolated substance does not produce such results, while the joint presence of CBN and THC partially graduates the effect of this compound, also in terms of altering consciousness. For the time being, it can be concluded that CBN oil is not a psychoactive substance, so it is fully available in many countries, including Poland.
